The painters club is proud to announce its members picked (after a tight poll result) the topic for the nextcoming painting contest of the club: "Renewable / Reusable / Recyclable: a green and political earth-defensive theme".
The guidelines for the contest will be posted soon in the club's journal: painters.deviantart.com, but hey! we wanted everyone in deviantArt to know about it, so you can decide to take part of it!
The idea within this theme is for your work to be a political statement about what your feelings are regarding this subject. As never before we want this contest to be a great showcase of your amazing art talent, telling something people needs to hear about! Saving the Planet is the resposability of us all, and it can start at home, in our daily actions.
Of course we are still a painting club, so please don't missunderstand me, your work doesn't need to be a "poster", actually we usually forbid the inclusion of typography (digitally added text). Nevertheless, I know your creative minds will know how to help out a bit more by spreading the word!
The theme can be approached from any side: actual issues / prevention / political statements / etc. As long as yuo stick to the painting mediums we define in our guidelines, your work is elegible to win!
And let me say, the prizes are amazing!! I will list them better later, but we have at least a couple years subscriptions to deviantart, prints accounts, and many 6, 3 and 1 months subcriptions.
Now before leaving you all, I'll leave you with a bunch of info I have been gathering for you to get informed & inspired. Please if you have some articles or other info to add, and share with the rest of the deviant world, please send it in a note to the club!

Profoundest Apologies + Opinions Please?
Hello all,
Profoundest apologies for the lack of content over the last year. I would go into detail about where I was or why things ended up the way they did, but I'd rather not.
Many many many thankyous to both Orphicallygenous (https://www.deviantart.com/orphicallygenous) and drwhofan (https://www.deviantart.com/drwhofan) that took over in my absence, as well as all of you kind folks who have been so very patient with us.
I've accepted all currently active requests and updated the gallery to reflect the new year.
A lot of the reason why this group moves so slowly (even in its best times) is because of the strict rules that we have mapped out: we check each and every painting for a number of things, we check e
RE ACTIVATION OF THE GROUP!
Hey guys!
We apologize greatly for the group being not active and not so active. We have been busy but were working things out now and we would be very much happy if you can send us again your artworks so that we can accept them one by one (ofc in their respective folder).
We have tons of surprises in store for you!
Our deepest apologies for being so inactive. "adult life" is not so easy lol.
But anyways, I hope you guys are still with us! Feel free to ask any questions or if you'd like, we are still currently looking for people who are active and would like to be a part of the group's curators, editors and so on.
It can be found on our u
