Welcome all to the =painters club!! The club for all the traditional painters in deviantart!!

Yes!! finally it's happening!! A real contest in the club!! Thanks to all of you that showed your support in our look for sponsors!!! We can't thank everyone enough, and please, if you still want to help, contact us anyway... There's more contest coming after this one!!

So.... here it is!!

Subject.
Make a selfportrait in the style of one of the following art movements:

Art Deco _{example [link] by Lempicka}
Art Nouveau _{example [link] by Mucha}
Impressionism _{example [link] by Monet}
Pointillism _{example [link] by Seurat}
Pop Art _{example [link] by Lichtenstein}
Surrealism _{example [link] by Dali}

Requirements.
The work must be done using a traditional painters' medium (oils, watercolors, acrylics, etc).
The photo/scan of your work, that you will submit, must be at least 640x480 (that means at least 640 in the widest side).

You have to submit the work to your deviantArt account, and send us a note with a link to it, under the subject "CbAM Contest Submission". The note MUST include the medium you used, and a brief description of why you picked that art movement, and anything else in particular you want to add.
If you used a photo as reference, we would like to receive a link to it as well (you can upload it in your scraps or something).

Only one submission per person, sorry. Just to make it fair in the voting moment...

Deadline.
2 months. That means all submissions must be sent before October 31st, 2005 (GMT).

To submit work, send us a note with "submission" in the subject line. You can only send us one work per note. Also please include the medium used in your painting. If you still haven't upload the work in DA, you can e-mail it to us to the e-mail that appears in the top of the page
Don't forget to add =painters to your DEVwatch.

The only requirement is the artwork has to be traditionaly painting. No digital artwork, sorry.
